Will I be catching the low life that nicked my phone?

Quite possibly thanks to Google.

My car got broken into early Monday morning.  I stupidly left my phone in the car.  The phone is a Windows mobile based device and it’s a “smart phone”.  At the weekend I was playing around with a new toy from google called Google latitude.  When you run this application on your phone it tracks your movements.  It’s web-based so I can fire up any web browser and look at my location or my friend’s locations if they have the app running on their phone.

Anyway the stolen phone has started talking back the google!

Here is a screen shot…I’ll be calling the bobbies once I’ve figured out this persons daily routine.  Just a word of caution to anyone in in your city that car thief’s are a real problem.  It’s the 2nd time this has happened to me in under a year!  I’ve learnt my lesson now though.

strange location but my guess is that the phone has not left their house yet, just a matter of time…

So google latitude might get me my phone back and catch the criminal…we’ll see.  I know i’ll be running this handy software on my replacement phone.
